Josh Gantner Memorial

In 1995, Josh Gantner and his twin brother AJ were playing football in the Junior Division of EJFL.  Josh became ill and was diagnosed with cancer.

At that time, EJFL wanted to help the Gantner family through these troubled times.  This started a “tradition” within the EJFL.  Each year, we give back to a young person and family in need.

Josh Gantner lost his battle with cancer in 1998 and passed away.  With the permission of the Gantner family, EJFL established the Josh Gantner Memorial, as Josh was the reason this event began.

EJFL is currently accepting nominations for an EJFL family that is in need of our assistance.  If you know of someone you would like to nominate, you may click the button below to download the nomination form.  Once you have completed the form, please email your nomination to evansvillejuniorfootballleague@gmail.com, no later than Noon on October 11, 2023.

This award will be presented to the EJFL Board and Coaches on Thursday, October 12, 2023, for voting.
